Application
Flameproof star / Delta and D.O.L Motor Starters are intended for use in areas made potentially hazardous by the presence of flammable liquids, gases or vapours (Zone 1 or Zone 2).
For installation at petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants and other process industries where a similar hazard exists.
For manual starting of motors upto 110 KW.
Features
- Full Certificate of Conformity for Group IIA, IIB and IIC areas.
- Enclosures used are from EJB (EExd IIB) and GUB (EExd IIC) ranges.
- With or without interlocked padlockable isolator. (padlock not supplied).
- Hinges fitted as standard.
Material
Body and cover Standard: Copper free aluminium alloy LM25 (BS 1490)
Optional: Cast iron ISO 185:1998
Cover Bolts Standard: Steel zinc plated.
Optional : Stainless steel.
Finish
Standard: Two coat of Gray oven baked.
Optional : Two pack epoxy paint, or electrostatic powder coated.

Protection Grade
IP 54 - Application of an approved non-hardening grease will give added resistance to the ingress of dust and moisture.

Earthing
All enclosures are supplied complete with a 6 mm2 internal and external earth stud as standard.
Ordering Information
A range of "Direct on Line" and "Star/Delta" Motor Starters up to 110 KW, all with local start/stop reset push buttons.
A padlockable isolator is available for up to 75 KW motors - specify when ordering. Isolator for 110 KW "version supplied separately for site mounting. Overloads cover the range 0.1 A to 250 A all with single " phase protection. Please specify rating required when ordering.
Variations on our standard range can include remote control, control transformers, running lamps, as well as well as voltage and frequency, all available on request.

Mounting
For EJB enclosures, mounting is by four blind holes drilled and tapped in back of enclosure. For GUB enclosures mounting holes are part of enclosure. Mounting brackets are also available as an optional extra, see 'Options'.
